"This image shows the transition of a painting from a sketch on blank canvas throughout various stages to the finished portrait. There is a little image distortion because I did not photograph the painting from exactly the same location each time.

There are also a few occassional white highlights due to sunlight through a window. I cropped the photos as close to uniform as possible and used a computer program to 'morph' the images together.

At a late stage i decided to 'paint out' the eyes and lower them on the face and also shorten the entire head of the subject. "
